There are several ponds and water features around Parcevall Hall gardens, and one had these pretty pink waterlilies - nymphaea - though I don't know what variety they are. Such exotic flowers to find in a windswept and remote location.
Just last week I was taking pictures of water lilies on our own Newbury Pond, but I couldn't get into position to get the angle you got. Nice shot! Jim
Wow, that's just beautiful ! In two hours I am off to the UK, thanks to the Eurostar it will take me an hour to get to Ashford. But then I need 1 1/2 h to get to Eastbourne, lol !
Well composed shot.
ReplyDeleteI love waterlilies, because they always have soft colors and mean refreshness to me..
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week-end, dear Jenny!
Perfect composition : balanced with the precision of a jewelry scale.

Not sure why but waterlilies always seem magical to me! Nice one.
ReplyDeleteSo serene and comforting. These are such a delicate shade of pink.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice photo but you probably had to stand in the water to get it. In mine I was sitting on a park bench.
ReplyDeleteI think waterlilies have amazing blooms.
ReplyDeleteNicely composed, jennyfreckles.
ReplyDeleteAh! your water-lillies are just so delicate and pretty - I love the way they sit low on the lilly pads.
ReplyDeleteStunning!! Love water lilies, especially that delicate pink color. ~Lili
