There are lots of lovely textures in the old buildings at Thwaite Mills. These would work in black and white too, I feel sure, but I rather like the soft, warm shades of the wood and brickwork.
They are absolutely beautiful, jennyfreckles. I used to take close "texture" photos like this for myself but not put them on my blog. I showed one recently that had a good reception, so I am planning on another "texture" photo for Monday.
The textures and colors make the photos into wonderful shots. Your composition is great too.
