A picture of nothing, in a way, just the corner of a car park beside some apartments. I am, however, trying to train myself to be more aware of shape and composition and I found something pleasing in this. Does anyone agree?
The close-up of the tree trunk angling into the picture giving a nice frame and the angle of the fence and its upright posts stair-stepping down, finish the frame; the round shapes of lights and trimmed bushes echoing one another; then finally the one tuffty plant, almost like a clump of weeds filling the bare space center left all make a really attractive composition. Really nicely done!
I do agree Jenny.. There's symmetry, shapes and texture, showing it in b& w was perfect.
ReplyDeleteYes the lies, patterns and shapes make it interesting.

ReplyDeleteWill it hurt your feelings if I say it is less than your usual high standard?
ReplyDeleteI like this a lot! It could be an illustration in a book of a place where something magical is about to happen.
