I name this ship...

What would you call your boat if you had one? The names I notice on narrowboats often amuse me. This was a selection that I spotted just in the course of one walk, along a stretch of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal towpath near Skipton.

  1. Friends of mine had a canoe named "Slop-along Placidly".

  2. Great sense of humour in some of these names!

  3. A very wealthy owner of a drugstore (pharmacy) chain in Florida had a VERY large powerboat called TICA - which stood for This I Can't Afford.

  4. "Weep Your Heart Out . . . It is Mine, Not Yours"

No WV here but I've enabled comment moderation on older posts so I don't miss any of your messages. I love reading them - thank you! And thanks for visiting my blog.
