Little to see here, in a way, and yet I thought it a beautiful scene and very peaceful. The diffused light suited the soft colours of the sky, reflected in the water, and the haze of fresh green on the bushes.
The photo was taken further up the valley, alongside the Leeds-Liverpool Canal near Silsden.
Positioned close to Granary Wharf, behind City Station in Leeds are two rather fine red 19th C. Italian-style towers.I thought they might possibly be of interest to you, Jenny.

DeleteI find your photo very interesting. Longbottom's 1776 L&L small toll-house, Bakewell's ornate 1899 Italian tower and the really modern 2010 red hotel building do blend so sympathetically together. Your photo shows this perfectly.
DeleteRather like a painting!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a good eye for a scene that will work in a photograph, jennyfreckles.
