Spring flowers

It's that time of year when even a non-gardener like me begins to think that the pots and tubs in the yard could do with some colour. I saw these colourful spring flowers for sale outside a florist's shop. I would have bought some but for the fact that I had a train ride and a bus ride to get home, so they would most likely have got squashed.

  1. Colour like this is difficult to resist, but trains and buses are always full of wayward elbows and clumsy feet. Better to snatch a bargain closer to home.

  2. All the sun of the last few days will have done wonders for the flowers, and my BBQ technique.

  4. Hope you find some closer to home! I bought primroses at the grocery weeks ago and after blooming on our dining table they began to look faded so I set them out in the garden and they're blooming all over again!

  5. Flowers are such a great mood elevator, I always feel they are worth the investment (provided it's convenient to bring them home with you of course!) Lovely image. ~Lili
