It is not just that they are in the foreground that make them so stunning, but their positioning at the very bottom of the image gives it such power. Happy 2012 Jenny. (Let us not forget Thornton)
Oh, I am searching for color too...We have had very little snow this year, which has been nice in one aspect, but the dreary gray can be tiring too. Seriously, I can't wait until spring! The splash of red in this photo is wonderful!

ReplyDeleteHappy 2012 Jenny.

Who is Thornton?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo, Jenny! I'm partial to berries. :-)
Ooh, lots of red! It's hard to find coulour this time of year.

ReplyDeleteThe blackbirds are busily stripping my pyrocantha.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Jenny. Placing the bush at the bottom (but not skimping on how much you show) and then blurring the background creates a fine effect.
ReplyDeletePerfectly gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe berries are a vivid, sharp contrast to the neutrals. Your depth of field is very nice also. I think you and your camera are getting on quite well!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a great 2012!

It must be nice to stumble across this vibrant colour in winter. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteYou sure found it! Another super composition, picture postcard perfect.
ReplyDeleteVery striking Jenny! ~Lili
