Festival gardens 1
Saltaire Festival once again featured the popular Open Gardens trail, a chance to explore some of the tiny but fertile backyards around the village. This was my favourite garden last year and it was equally attractive and lush this year. I love that blue wall. Seeing it last year did inspire me to try a bit harder with my own patch, but the hot summer quickly frazzled the plants in many of my pots.

Isn't that beautiful!? I'd be inspired, too! I can't seem to grow anything in full sun..even if the label says it's good for that. Everything goes in the shade and it does much better. I have to water daily, too! I'm always amazed at those that just plant and let it go and it looks wonderful. That never happens to me. ha.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty!
ReplyDeleteLovely , then and now! Those petunias (?) in the window box are spectacular!
ReplyDeleteIt is very attractive and probably takes a lot of work to keep it so. Try self watering pots next summer.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty little garden. The blue sets off the greenery very nicely.
