Saltaire inspired
For once, we had a sunny, warm and truly lovely late May Bank Holiday weekend. At this time of year, I always feel that Saltaire/Yorkshire/England looks at its absolute best. The hawthorn blossom is abundant this year and the pink variety on this old tree in the centre of Saltaire looked particularly pretty in the sunshine.
As is now traditional, Saltaire hosted its annual Arts Trail. The village houses and public buildings become mini art galleries and there are all manner of art-related activities for children and adults. It's such fun and so inspirational. So - here's the invitation:
As the seven year old pavement artist suggests.... this Way for the best day of you'r life.
