Old sea dog?

A walk along the canal towpath usually provides some colourful and interesting sights to photograph.  I have to confess that I'm not an especially 'doggy' person... We've never had a dog and so I'm not really tuned in to them.  But even I thought this one was rather attractive, and I liked the jaunty bandana. The dog didn't seem to mind my camera lens directed at him (her?) - alert but curious, and didn't set off into a frenzy of barking like the one further down my street does when anyone walks past.

  1. A different kind of photograph for you today. Nice.

  2. Bandana and bowl, colour coordinated - must be a 'her'.

  3. As a young teen, my dog Rip followed me everywhere on the clifftops, on the beach, over the large rocks and in the caves. He was such a great dog.

  4. It adds colour and interest to the photo. It is a nice looking dog. I like dogs but not the little yappy ones that most of my neighbours have.

  5. This is definitely my kind of photo. Love it! (I'll have to confess that I'm a *very* doggy person. :-) What beautiful color! All that blue with the accent of the red bandana. So nice.

  6. I think you were being invited on board, in hopes he could get a belly-rub.

  7. The dog makes the photo, whether you're a doggy person or not. I cared deeply for the one dog we had for about eight years, but I'd not say I'm a doggy kind of human either. :-)

  8. Must be a cowboy dog with that bandana! Must be a dog too, and not a bitch. Good catch of colours!
