Wow, you sure do pack a lot into a single photo! The window, itself, drew my attention. Nine over six is a common arrangement, but I had never seen one with the 1-3-1 proportions. The dogs look like children posed for a formal portrait. And then there are knick-knacks set on the window, a window box, and all of the other detail, finished off in monochrome to reduce noise. There's a photography class in that one shot!
How much are those doggies in the window..sorry someone had to say it haha! This is too cute Jenny, these two are certainly giving you the once over to see if you are friend or foe..I'm guessing friend as they seem pretty relaxed about it all.
Nice photo, and good one to show in black and white.
I don't know why my comments have been showing up in your spam, but I have noticed that a good number of my comments on a variety of blogs don't appear. I thought these were bloggers with high standards who have found my comments wanting and thus eliminated them. Today I shifted my browser to Chrome to see if there is any difference . . .
It's great fun catching up on your holiday and quite fascinating seeing another part of the country through eyes and a lens I have grown used to over the years. You can take Jennyfreckles out of the Saltaire but you can't take the vision of Jennyfreckles out of the photograph. (And, yes, it really was Victualling Office Lane)
I love windows and (small, peaceful) dogs so this is the image for me!
ReplyDeletei ALSO LIKE TO PICTURE WINDOWS; aND THIS ONE HAS VERY SPECIAL INHABITANTS..
ReplyDeleteLovely, in so many ways.
