It was late-night Christmas shopping in
Salts Mill, Saltaire last Thursday. Shoppers were serenaded with seasonal music played by
Hammond's Saltaire Band (who are very good!) The sound really soared through the vaulted 1853 Gallery - and the fragrance of mulled wine and lilies scented the air.
This works well, in B&W. Lilies and mulled wine, a heady combination.
ReplyDeleteB & W looks good. Hubby has been out with The Salvation Army Band carolling since the beginning of December, they carol outside our local large supermarket. Hope your nativity walk went well yesterday? Judyx

ReplyDeleteOh I want to shop there too! Oh who am I kidding, it was the mulled wine comment that got my attention! Seriously though, that really must have been something to experience. ~Lili
ReplyDeleteJust came from Friko's post on her shopping complete with a stop for venison casserole. Now this! If only I could do my Christmas shopping in England!
ReplyDeleteI would enjoy the music... Nice shot, Jenny; it works well in b&w.
ReplyDeleteSounds delightful!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are amazing, Jenny. I have so much to learn!
That would have sounded marvellous - I bet the acoustics in there are wonderful.
