The switch-on of the Christmas lights in Saltaire will happen on Friday 3 December. There is a bit of a celebration in the Victoria Hall from 6 pm that evening so come along and join in the fun if you live locally. In the meantime, who needs lights when there are these glorious red berries brightening up the Victoria Road shops?
Definitely no lights needed here!
ReplyDeleteThose red berries are like natural decorations!
ReplyDeleteThe berries everywhere do seem to be particularly good this year. Perhaps they are particularly bright in order to shine through the cover of snow.
ReplyDeleteWow! Natural decorations...can't beat that.
ReplyDeleteDo you know what kind of tree that is? Those berries are beautiful. They remind me of my high-bush cranberry, but in a tree form. And the photo is beautiful! Can't wait to see the lights too. :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely. Is that a rowan tree? It looks so good against the sky and the buildings.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! The squirrels have gotten all my red berries already.
ReplyDeleteI think this one is a hawthorn tree - not a rowan.
ReplyDeleteGood timing for the red berries to peak, isn't it? Pretty.
ReplyDeletebeautiful! i have 2 crabapple trees that are full of berries and it snowed today...you are right..so lovely, nothing else is needed!
ReplyDeleteI hear that you're getting a taste of Wisconsin winter there today! :-)
