Long shadows

One of those tricky 'against the light' shots that needed a bit of HDR treatment: Saltaire's Roberts Park from the top promenade. It was a cold, sunny day, with very few people about. The bright green netting on the right is the cricket pitch, fenced-off during the off-season in a vain attempt to repel people, dogs and geese from spoiling the turf.

  1. It looks warm but I believe you about the cold. You are brave to go outside to walk and photograph but I'm glad you do.

  2. It doesn't look much of a fence to deter anything, cricket pitches usually recover very quickly once they get a bit of spring sunshine.

  3. Roberts Park looks spacious and inviting. Your excellent photo does full justice to it!
