These boots...


... were made for walking - but now they're plant pots. Rather a good idea, I think, and certainly colourful.

    I've always thought I could do that with my old boots - I've certainly worn out plenty of pairs - but somehow never got around to it. These are certainly colourful, though I'm not sure that it's the job of plant pots to be brighter than the flowers they contain.

    John's comment is what I was thinking. I usually choose neutral planters so that the flowers grab the eye.
